After You | Sequel to Me Before You | Book Review

After I read the whole pages of Me Before You,
I discovered that there's a sequel to it.
I was sooo sad because
Qim bought three books for me using his book voucher.
I could have bought this one, but I didn't because I didn't know.

We went to Kinokuniya again,
but the book was sold out.
So last week, I went with my mum and
there're only 4 books left!!
But they're the larger copies!
Larger = more expensive!

I had to fork out RM64-ish to buy this book,
instead I could have bought two novels with that.

But did I have any choice?
No!
(I am very impatient to know what would happen next!)
Okay I could really just buy the e-book and save the environment
but I like the smell of the books and the feeling of flipping the pages.

After You, it was shocking!
I didn't expect Will Traynor to have a daughter that he had never known before.
Lou helped her to get to know her dad and her dad's family.
Will's parents had divorced, yet they're still in good terms.
They was shocked by the news,
so in between the period of knowing the sudden news
and accepting Will's daughter as their grandchild,
the daughter had caused trouble.
A 16-year-old girl, who didn't receive much love
and attention from her family, would cause trouble.
Lou helped Lily in solving her problems.

Lou got an offer to work as carer in NYC,
but she kept deferring the offer to help Lily.

She also faced trouble with her sister who had a son and was still unemployed.
Her mom and her dad kept on arguing over feminist issues.
She kinda had affection for the Ambulance Guy who helped her when she fell from 2nd floor building, but she thought the guy had a son and just played with her feeling, so she decided to keep
her distance from him.

Problems after problems.

I hardly caught my breath reading the book.

Lou was still tied to her love towards Will
and she didn't put herself first.

But I guess, the sacrifice she made,
was really worth it.
Everyone found her/his happiness in the end.
Selfishness is really never the way to live a wonderful life :)
