Hello?

I haven't been blogging for 2 months+ and

as much as I feel like

no one is missing my post,

I do miss blogging!

What's up with the silence?

Oh well, engineering life.

Really, this semester,

is when every hard work begins.

Last two semesters were a total joke.

I had been complaining and crying

in my first year,

but hey, last year I was just crying a river.

This time around, I cry like Niagara Falls, no kidding.

I didn't sign up for this life,

but I guess this is the consequences of me 

signing up for engineering life.

So many things happened,

long story short,

my hair is falling out so badly,

crying is my weekly ritual,

I eat supper thrice a day,

I don't have breakfast cause I am late most of the time,

I failed some of my labs,

I failed a midterm,

I don't get to blog as much

and I only call my parents twice a week.

It sounds bad, ey?

I also have good stories to share, no worry ;)

I cook weekly,

main dishes range from western to eastern food,

desserts and I don't eat junk food on weekly basis anymore!

I only do, once a month, max! 

I started to learn that

islamophobia is real but I have Allah to protect me all the time,

so I don't have to feel overwhelmed by it.

I have great friends

that will always support me,

and I don't have a need to increase my circle of friends anymore,

I will just appreciate those I have now,

I follow my financial budget,

and everything is well-planned now.

I really take everything in a positive way,

ie when I failed certain things,

they don't let me down, rather they push me to work harder the next time.

I dance whenever I want,

I feel happy whenever I see my friends' posts on Instagram,

I am happy that they're happy with their life.

I have days when I miss my best friends terribly,

and I will randomly call, or text or stalk them on Instagram, or comment 

on their InstaStory with hopes that they will miss me too :P

I watch all of my summer vlogs whenever I wanna feel close to home, 

cause we will not have a chance to be together for a longer time now,

since Atika is in Australia, I am in Canada and the rest are in different states of Malaysia.

I always watch Amigas videos on youtube whenever I miss them

and I am trying so hard to not forget anyone's name.

I watch Hindustani movies whenever I feel like watching them.

I drink a lot of water these days

and I always do my skin care routine.

I only had makeup on my face for less than 5 times in these two months,

I only put on makeup when I have occasions

cause I believe that my skin will be better, much much better without

having to constantly hide my scars and pimples.

I take pictures of buildings and sceneries

and upload them to Instagram, not to brag about anything

but my Instagram feed is like my online photo journal.

Because I will leave Canada one day, 

and I will miss every moment I have here.

I constantly remind myself that

I don't have to work as an engineer for the rest of my life,

but the lessons that I gain throughout this journey of mine,

will definitely make me a better person,

businesswoman and whichever position that I want to hold in the future.

Whenever I feel like complaining about 1 thing,

I will remind myself of 5 other blessings in life that Allah has sent me.

And most of the time, I will reflect on

what used to be my dreams, and now I have achieved them,

ie to study at McGill University.

Alhamdulillah for everything that happens in my life.

VIVY YUSOF OVERSHADOWED EVERYONE!

KLFW is really a big thing for fashion lovers,

and that excludes me!

But this year, it's different.

I'm still not into fashion, but I'm willing to acknowledge

our local designers, well thanks to FashionValet!

I was coincidentally staying 

in KL for one night, during

KLFW16, and since my hotel

was just a walking-distance from Pavilion,

so I decided, why not?

My initial plan was to visit the duck store and

bought myself a few scarfs cause

I had been to FashionValet store in Bangsar Village II,

and I hardly found any of my perfect scarf.

Duck store has so many promising stuff,

it did offer me a lot during my visit.

I accidentally bought three scarves when I only wanted to buy

one.

Sorry for being such a girl, lol.

The trick here is to go to the store at noon,

cause they're gonna restock their scarves by then

and mine were all 'freshly baked'

and I got to witness them, doing the ribbon perfectly.

The first time I went to the store, I bought only one scarf.

Then this wonderful lady, she's super pretty, working at the duck store

told me about the trick. So, that's how I know this and it's good to share to

all the duckies and soon-to-be ones!

I am not an authentic duckie tbh, I'm just a beginner.

I've known so many duckies out there,

and my money in the bank cannot keep up to their standard lol.

Oh so, I went to Pavilion with Adeeda (the true duckie) and my sister, Ina.

After our first visit to the duck store,

we went to the centre of pavilion,

on the 2nd floor to witness the empty stage of KLFW.

Then we stalked Vivy Yusof and Iman from the top.

Five minutes later,

they made their way out of the KLFW area,

and so we followed the trail.

My sister saw them almost walking out of Pavilion,

when we were still on the escalator.

Only God knows why am I dying to meet the VIVY YUSOF!

So in high heels,

I ran!

And approached her myself!

I couldn't feel my leg,

the experience is surreal, man!

She noticed the duck paperbags,

I couldn't say things properly,

I was just mesmerized by her beauty

and Adeeda was wearing the same exact duck as Vivy

and we took pictures, even with Iman too!

Iman took great pictures! Vivy took our picture with Iman,

they're very friendly, sincere.

they are not faking it!

Gosh!

Then we were so excited about it, so we acted back the incident

and had our brunch at the DC cafe

and 

we went to the store for the second time!

And this time, 

I got myself 2 ducks!!

RIP Money!!

But never mind,

post Vivy retreating session.

My mum called me five seconds after that, cause we had to check out and stuff,

but I had to meet Edda, Aida and Pusya afterwards, so

we had to rush to the hotel

and bammmm

I met Vivy again!

But this time, we're walking to different directions.

and she seemed to be busy and I didn't wanna look

like a psycho fan,

so I kept it low lol

After my meeting with friends,

my mom, Ina and I walked back to Pavilion

cause I wanted to show Mama the store

and almost grabbed another duck

but the Minister of Finance didn't seem to approve it,

so I had to put my box down

and we witnessed the KLFW'16.

I saw bunch or celebrities including Fazura,

and my mum was super excited about it.

She always feels like Fazura and I, we share the same pink DNA.

You know what I mean :P

But she's busy and I didn't feel like

meeting other celebrities

cause

tbh,

meeting Vivy Yusof meant the world to me!

So that's how I came up with the blog title.

My New Zealand Trip

New Zealand is a wonderful country.

(The first statement is always the most clichè one)

It was an impromptu decision. I initially planned on

visiting my sister in Adelaide but she hasn't got to find a house to rent

and she would be a new girl in the city, so I wouldn't want to burden her.

So I decided to tag along with my sister in Auckland,

especially since I have a bestie there!

I was expected to visit and tour around Auckland City only,

but Mimi was kind enough to drive us to Hamilton, Matamata, Rotorua and Putaruru.

Girl, I had major difficulties in pronouncing the places.

But Maori language is an interesting one, indeed.

Auckland City is a windy city,

it isn't as hectic as NYC,

but it's a well-developed one

and I'm loving it.

I am more like a city girl,

especially when I reminiscing all of my travel memories,

I visited cities most of the time.

Mimi didn't quite agree with me

as she wanted me to witness the real side of New Zealand

where them sheep, llamas and cows at.

Mom insisted on us going to Hobbiton, so

we planned on the trip there.

Mimi had been there, so she just drove us to the place. 

The same thing went to Agrodome,

it's a place where you can feed all of those unique animals.

The sheep, llamas, and cows; they don't fear humans at all.

I believe because we gave them food!

After all, food unites people (and animals).

Blue Spring Putaruru is one of the many amazing things I saw in New Zealand.

It was raining on the day we went there, but the view was worth it.

The Hamilton Gardens was another place that I love too!

All of the gardens gave me so much of inspiration for my future garden (Taj Mahal).

Even though it was winter and most of the flowers were dead and gone,

the design of each garden was amazing.

Auckland has so many hipster restaurants and the price for each serving is so

reasonable unlike any hipster restaurant here in Malaysia.

Oh and the cars' registration numbers in NZ are mindblowing!

They are allowed to customized the registration numbers as they please.

For example, COMEL, PETE IRLY, 25 JUNE, UMAR etc

Pokemon Go is really a big phenomenon in NZ now,

so the day we visited Mission Bay (The PD of NZ), there were

many people of different ages from the 8 year-old-kids to the parents of 5 children,

they're everywhere tryna catch them Pokemons!

It's a fun thing to watch, but I really couldn't imagine how Malaysia will be,

if the game manages to penetrate its market into this country.

I had been in NZ for only a week,

but I felt like living there for the rest of my life!

Will visit the South Island in the future!

Qim fetched me up at the airport and drove me all the way to Malacca.

He told me some amazing news;

he plans on pursuing his master either in NZ or Australia.

Boy, NZ please!

(South Island, to be specific. So, I have reasons to visit!)
