Hello, beautiful people of the Earth!
So, from late October till 9th of Dec,
I had #duckscarves fever.
It's like the kind of disease that has affected 6000 people,
mostly Malaysian ladies.
I can't imagine myself, being affected too.
I started buying myself a duckscarf on 12th of January 2016!
Just to have a flavor of having a duckscarf in my life,
since as you could read,
from my long-lost post, I didn't really celebrate my 21st birthday,
but I granted myself this scarf.
Tbh, I could only buy them,
because I'm given monthly allowance in the Canadian dollar.
I ain't a rich chic.
Back to the story.
So @theduckgroup launched a #duckcollection competition,
where the duckies had to be as creative as we can
and the winner will be granted a trip for two to anywhere she wants + accommodation + business class flights + the whole collection of their LE world map duck!
I decided to give this a shot because
I AM CRAZILY OBSESSED WITH WORLD MAP
YOU HAVE NO IDEA!
I have world map watch, world map journal, world map (the old ones, the new one)
You name it.
And I really wanted a world map scarf!
Any scarf would do. But duckscarf is a bonus, lol.
I remember talking to Qim about designing a world map scarf back in 2014.
And as impossible as I think it could be,
@theduckgroup really does come up with this concept.
Perfect-o!
I didn't have much time,
you can really tell based on the amount of post I wrote this time.
I only had three slots for outdoor shooting,
and the flatlays were all in my room,
not much of proper planning but the captions were all from my heart, lol.
There're more than 6000 entries and
the pictures were damn creative, beyond comparison
and my pictures were totally out of the league.
The day when they announced the winner, I purposely
didn't look at my phone, I studied in the living room,
leaving my phone in my room cause I didn't want the feeling of losing in a competition
distracting my whole purpose of being in McGill University,
which is to hm study (?).
Then my roomie, Nawwar,
who's also my loyal grocery shopping mate, photographer,
chef, kitchen helper, gossip mate,
she was talking about the 'saguh hati' prizes were insane blablabla...
Yes, she spelled sagu hati -- saguh hati, lol.
And my reply was,
they had announced? lol
Then I ran, checking my phone, so many comments notification,
and obviously I didn't win (as expected)
but I was in the top20 list?! How?!
God really helped me this time,
there wasn't supposed to be any consolation prize,
but it's God's will;
they have few categories of winners.
ALHAMDULILLAH
Becoming the top 20; that's beyond my imagination.
And the Limited Edition, world map duckscarf is mine!
And I made them posting it to Canada muehehehe
cause they usually don't deliver here.

(calming myself down, finals are terrible)
