World Map Acne

I can join all the acnes on my face and
draw world map out of them, literally.

I've tried all the home remedies,
you name them!

From honey to oats,
turmeric, aloe vera, coconut oil,
tamarind, coffee, ACV., rice flour...

They gave me a very sliiiiiiight improvement
and most of the time,
they just made my face brighter.

I am tired of all of these.

As pathetic and desperate
as I sound, it's true.

I am not gonna lie.

I HAVE STOPPED EATING CHICKEN
for a month.

Not entirely,
I ate them twice during dinner with friends,
but yeah I don't buy chicken anymore.

Trust me, it helps!
I used this trick when I was 18,
cause my family doesn't eat chicken,
but fish.
When my high school ended,
I technically stopped having chicken for my meals.
So yeah.

If you're really a chicken freako
and you suffer acne like me,
eat organic ones.

The normal chickens;
they're full of chemicals,
not vitamin and protein that our body wants.

In spite of weathers,
food and lifestyle are two main aspects that
play important roles in the context of acne.

I AM A 28-DAY-VEGETARIAN NOW!

Well,
there's a difference between being a vegetarian and vegan.

Vegetarian doesn't eat meat,
but still consume fish and dairy products.

Vegan only eats vegetables and fruits.

I don't have anything against meat,
I love meat!
I just stop eating them because of my skin condition.

And eating broccolis and carrots is great!
I love them! Especially when you cook them you can see
all the green + orange = emerald color.

I am loving what I eat now!

Despite for the skin,
I can reduce my weight too.

Don't blame me for taking care of my weight.
I need to control my weight because
I am short.
Overweight is definitely a problem to me.

I am working on detoxing my body now,
hopefully, it works
and exercising as frequent as I can.

Let's have healthier lifestyle!
Toodles!

My Banana Story

Hanyalah illustrasi semata-mata
I hate banana!
I hate eating banana, as a fruit.
But I loveeee banana cake!
And if banana eaten with ice-cream,
I can take it.

Dad asked me to eat banana,
he said, it's good for the face.
I kinda agree with that
(I don't have any scientific proof tho)
because my mum is in love with banana.
And her skin is flawless!
She never has pimples!
You can't hardly see wrinkles on her face,
even she's 44 years old!

My mum always says,
"I loooooove banana!"
Yes, with the face,
trying to emphasise her love towards this yellow fruit.

I hate banana.
But I have to eat this,
for the sake of my face (and health).

So,
I blend banana, yogurt and milk
and add a teaspoon of matcha green tea and
tararaaaaa,
I drink it, everyday!
(I just started today :P)

My point is,
in life,
you just need to find ways to accept
things that you don't like,
but they're good for you.
We sometimes hate things which are good for us.
With perfect ingredients,
a food can taste delicious!

(Not so much in my banana case, but it's still acceptable)

Juice Fasting Day 3 went wrong!

Idk what's wrong with the juice that I made,
but I guess the celery that I put was too much.
I didn't quite like the taste of my juice yesterday!

So,
today, I added on a tablespoon of ACV into my juice,
it turned to be sour,
I love sour drinks!

I am okay for today!

I finished class at 4-ish today and I've done
something I shouldn't be doing!

A sinful pleasure!

I was rewatching We Got Married, Yongseo couple HAHAHA

I should be spending my time studying, but
aigoo!

I only watched two episodes tho!
(trying to remember my NY resolution)

#lessonoftheday
Never judge a book by its cover

Toldcha! My first impression is alwaaaays wrong!

I had my CCOM 206 class just now,
Communication in Engineering.
Before the class started, I went to the bookstore,
I had to buy textbooks,
and I was contemplating whether I should buy
Grammar Exercise book or not.

I guess my English is getting rustier by days,
I haven't been reading proper books tho
and also,
I didn't have my awesome English teachers here that could always
guide me :/

I am also no longer in debate,
I don't involve in activities that has to do speaking anymore;
so it's not healthy for me.

I have to solve this problem!
This is due to the future things that I have to do;
applying for internships, jobs.
Do research papers and such.

Therefore, CCOM 206 is a course that I would want to consider.

I was 30 minutes early,
the class started at 2.35;
Friday prayer ended earlier today.

So yeah.

While waiting,
I saw a datin-looking lady,
also waiting outside of the classroom.
There's a French class going on in that classroom.
She looked so unapproachable;
You do know how a datin looks like, right?

Ok la, we have some datins in Malaysia,
who are extra friendly.

But some aren't.

They will look at you like you're from another planet;
looking at you from head to toe.

However,
this lady wasn't looking at me from head to toe,
 but she just had that datin aura.

In my head, "I'm dead! She might be my instructor"

As we entered the class,
she started the introduction part and started the lecture;
OMG she's so nice! She's so sincere!
I can see that she's very passionate in teaching!

She's no longer has the datin image!

She was doing eye contact with everyone;
it was a very small class, which it consisted of 20-ish people.

Some of my friends are also in the same section as me;
so, that's so cool!

Her goals are clear!
1. She'll teach us how to use language accurately.
2. She will guide us how to communicate well as an engineer (research paper).
3. She will ensure we will write the best resume so good company can hire us!
4. She will guide us how to write business proposal using business language :)

OMG,
those are the exact things that I want to learn!

In that class,
there's an activity where we had to be a grammar Nazi
and correct the 20 common mistakes that students always do.

She randomly picked a name,
and we had to correct the sentences.

My name was called,
and I was like *pengsan*!

It's not that I didn't know;
it's just that,
I had to get it right,
for the pride of all my English teachers!
They taught me well in high school;
I didn't want to embarrass them!

"The sentence was wrong because it used 'compared with' instead of 'compared to' ",
nervously answered the question.

"Yes! Correct! Not everyone can see this mistake," she replied with
a very impressed look.

I was like
"Fuhhh! Thank God!"

But I still have a lot to improve tho,
I have to start reading good books,
to enhance my vocabulary.

The learning process will never have
an ending to it.

I used to think that I was done with English class;
I was wrong.

Even if I was done with the formal English class,
I still have to learn more by myself.

As for now,

welcome to my desk!

Juice Fasting Day 2

Yesterday,
I'm done with juice fasting day 2!

I really love my juice yesterday
because it has kiwi in it!

Today,
I am struggling with juice fasting day 3;
ugh because I don't really like
the taste of kale and celery;
so I am drinking it while tutup my hidung!
HAHA!

But I shall do this, for my skin.

I dreamed of a flawless face last night,
I took that as a sign that what I do now is working!
There's slight improvement on my face,
I shall drink more green tea and apple cider vinegar (ACV) tho.

Oh,
now I am using ACV as my toner;
I hope it works!

Btw,
the matcha green tea that I bought from amazon
is really effective!
It gives me energy and helps me to stay focus;
I love love love it!

I do hope it gives improvement on my skin as well.

As for now,
I have POLI243 class waiting for me!

(I am taking as many political science classes as I can,
because I am planning on taking it as my minor.)

Juice Fasting Day 1

The school hasn't started yet,
so I spend my whole day
doing useful stuff;
ie do the household chores,
laundry
and most importantly,
I read up articles about skin care.

I am obsessed with skin care.
I shall say,
I regret not taking care of my skin before all of these happen,
ugh.
Acne and acne scars are not cool at all
and I hate using foundation and concealer.

After all,
they're not good for my skin too.

So,
I drink juice everyday
and on top of that, I drink 3 glasses of matcha green tea
added with apple cider vinegar.

I love how it tastes!

I am looking forward to see the result.

As for now,
"I love myself,
my skin and I feel fresh!"

--Things I tell myself every time after doing my skin care routine!

xx,
Aliah
